Where we are, and are not, competitive

German distributors sell economy-grade solid-board corners at prices an Indian plant cannot match once sea freight and import costs are added. If your requirement is a standard 35x35 mm corner by the pallet, buy it locally.

The picture changes at the heavier end: 75x75 and 100x100 mm legs, 6 to 8 mm thickness, twelve-ply boards, and lengths cut to your exact stack height. Those grades are priced much higher in Germany, and they are where a container contract from India makes sense. So is a second source for a fixed range of sizes that you buy all year round.

German terms, mapped to ours

Kantenschutzwinkel is our L-profile angle board. Vollpappe (solid board) is how we build it — laminated kraft, not corrugated. Selbstklebend is our self-adhesive edge board. Kantenschutzecke is a short corner piece, which we cut to length on request. We do not make Wellpappe (corrugated) corners. Compliance you will be asked about

Packaging register (LUCID). Whoever first places packaging on the German market is normally required to register with the Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister and report quantities. For imported edge protectors that is usually the German importer. We supply what the registration needs: material, weight per piece and quantities per shipment.

EU Deforestation Regulation. Paper products are in scope, but goods made entirely from recovered waste paper are not; any virgin fibre brings the product back in. After the December 2025 amendment, the rules apply from 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators and 30 June 2027 for micro and small ones.
