Where we fit against local supply
The Saudi market has large domestic converters with their own edge protector lines, and for a standard 50x50 mm board in a standard length they are hard to beat on price or delivery. We do not pretend otherwise. Where an Indian plant earns the order is the specification that sits outside a stock list: a 100x100 mm leg at 8 mm, a 12-ply board for double-stacked steel coil, a U-channel for a panel bundle, or a cut length that matches your load exactly so nothing is trimmed on the line.
The other case is the programme buyer who wants a second, contracted source for a fixed range of sizes and a fixed volume across the year. That is container business, and it is what our export side is set up for.
SABER, in plain terms
Goods entering Saudi Arabia are cleared through the SABER platform run by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization. The Saudi importer registers the product and requests a Shipment Certificate of Conformity for each consignment. Products covered by a technical regulation also need a Product Certificate of Conformity first; products that are not regulated go through a self-declaration.
Whether your specific tariff line is regulated is decided in SABER itself, so the first step is for your broker to check the HS code there. What we supply for that step: the HS classification we use (48239090 for paper edge protectors and core tubes, 39206220 for PET strap), a product description by material and dimensions, and the commercial invoice and packing list for each shipment. Arabic marking
Saudi rules expect product marking in Arabic. For industrial transit packaging this usually means bundle and carton labels rather than anything printed on the board itself. Send us the label text your importer of record requires and we will confirm on the quote how it is applied to each bundle.

HS 48239090 on our Indian export documents, the same eight-digit code our CA confirmed for GST. The first six digits (4823.90) are the internationally harmonised part; your Saudi broker confirms the national tariff line.
