Where the damage actually happens
Food and agricultural consignments are already the most inspected freight that leaves the country. Adding a wooden pallet adds a second phytosanitary question to a shipment that is already answering one. Every timber pallet on an agri consignment is a treatment record to maintain and a mark that has to survive the journey legibly.
Two phytosanitary questions instead of one
The cargo needs its clearance. The wooden pallet under it needs ISPM-15 separately.
Moisture and humidity in the load
Agri cargo carries its own moisture, which is hard on packaging that is already in a humid container.

02What we supply
The build that works here
The clear win here is the paper pallet. It carries no ISPM-15 obligation because it is not wood packaging material, so the consignment answers one phytosanitary question instead of two: no heat treatment, no fumigation, no NPPO-registered provider, no IPPC mark to keep legible through a humid container. Angle board on the corners keeps the strapping off the top carton and the whole unit load - pallet, board, strap seals aside - goes into the paper stream at the far end.

What applies here, and what does not
Confirm the destination country's requirements with your own freight forwarder as you would for any shipment. What is not in dispute is the basis: ISPM-15 governs wood packaging material, and a kraft pallet is not wood packaging material.

05Questions buyers ask
Questions from food & agri buyers
Paper pallets are outside ISPM-15 because that standard applies to wood packaging material. Acceptance for any specific consignment still rests with your buyer and forwarder, and we would always tell you to confirm it rather than take our word for the lane.
It is moisture resistant, which covers normal container condensation. It is not built to stand in water, and we will say so rather than let you find out.
No. It is tertiary packaging - the pallet and the corner protection, outside the carton. We do not present it as a contact material.
Up to 600 kg static. Dynamic ratings are being confirmed with production before we publish them; ask for the figure on your size and it goes on the quote.
