Our range in US terms

US buyers write a corner board as leg by leg by length — 2 x 2 x 48 — with thickness as a decimal inch. Our range converts like this: a 50x50 mm leg is 1.97 in, which is what a US buyer calls a 2-inch board; 75x75 mm is 2.95 in; 100x100 mm is 3.94 in. Thickness runs from .098 in (2.5 mm) to .315 in (8 mm), which covers the common .120, .160 and .225 grades. Tell us the length and we cut to it.

Where a US specification calls for an exact imperial dimension rather than the nearest metric one, say so on the enquiry and we will confirm whether it can be tooled.

Why import edge protection at all?

"Made in the USA" is a real advantage for American converters, and we cannot offer it. What we can offer is heavy grades and custom lengths at container volume, from a plant that will quote a specification rather than a stock code. It suits distributors adding a second source and manufacturers who use large, predictable volumes of a few sizes.

Compliance and duty

USDA APHIS applies ISPM-15 to wood packaging entering the US. Paper products are outside it, so our corner boards and paper pallets need no heat treatment, fumigation or IPPC mark. Import duty is another matter: US tariff rates on Indian goods have changed several times recently, so we do not publish them. Duties are as applicable at the time of import; we supply the HS classification so your customs broker can confirm the rate before the box sails.
