Ranges are what the plant can produce. Your order is made to one point inside them — tell us the pallet footprint, stack height and strap type and we will pick it with you. Dimensions switch between mm and inch above.
One piece instead of four
A wrap-around board is a single length, scored at your pallet dimensions, folded around the perimeter. Where four separate corner boards are four placements, four chances to be slightly out of position and four chances to be skipped when the line is running late, this is one.
It also protects the straight runs between the corners, which four separate boards do not. On a top deck that is exactly where a strap crushes: not at the corner, where the board is, but a hand’s width along from it, where the board stops.
The trade-off worth knowing before you order
The scores are cut to one pallet footprint. That makes it excellent on a standardised line and awkward on a line that runs three different pallet sizes, because you now hold three part numbers where four L boards covered everything. If your footprints change often, four corners stay the more flexible answer, and we will say so rather than sell you the more complicated item.
On cost: per piece it is more board than a single corner. Per pallet it usually lands close to four corners. Per shift, once placement labour is counted, it is normally cheaper. We will quote it both ways so the comparison is yours to make.
Top frame, vertical, or both
The most common configuration is a perimeter frame on the top deck of the stack, where the strap does its crushing, with vertical L boards on the corners. Some lines use wrap-around on both the top and the base. Which combination makes sense depends on how the load is stacked in the container, which is the question we will ask when you enquire.

04Questions buyers ask
Questions about wrap around edge board
Placement time and slipped pieces. One operator places one part instead of four, and there is no corner left off in a hurry. On a line running a few hundred pallets a day that is the whole argument.
Yes - the scores are cut to your footprint, so it is made for one pallet size. If you run two footprints you will need two part numbers. Where footprints change constantly, four L boards stay more flexible.
Yes. The notched version is cut at intervals along one leg so the board bends into a ring - for coils, reels, drums and round-bottomed packs. Tell us the diameter and we set the notch spacing to it.
That is the common version: a perimeter frame on the top deck of the stack, which is where the strap does most of its crushing.
Per piece it is more board. Per pallet it is usually close, and per shift it is cheaper once you count the placement labour. We will quote both ways so you can compare properly.
