The island’s aluminium and fabricated-metal exporters ship heavy, strapped loads, which is exactly the load that crushes a thin corner. For those we specify thicker boards — 6 to 8 mm on a 75x75 or 100x100 mm leg — rather than the light grades sold for carton pallets.
Qatar
Qatari buyers searched for this product as corner guard and corner protector more than any other Gulf market we looked at. Hamad Port has direct sailings from Nhava Sheva, which keeps the landed timeline short. Most enquiries we expect here are from building-material and panel suppliers, where the U-profile protects a panel edge on three sides.
Kuwait and Oman
Kuwait is usually served through a transhipment hub, so plan for a longer sailing. Oman’s Sohar port has a direct service and a growing industrial zone behind it. In both markets our most likely buyer is a trader who already stocks packaging and wants a manufacturer behind one line of it.
